I am a 35-year-old woman who underwent a FUE procedure at the Ilter Clinic in December 2004.
It all started for me in 1992, when my entire frontal hairline was badly damaged in an accident at the hairdresser while I was having a perm. As a result, I lost about 1 cm of my hairline around my face and head.
I was utterly devastated. I could not believe that my hair was gone and I would be forced to hide the fact by having a fringe or my hair styled forwards for the rest of my life.
A few years later, I chanced upon the world of hair transplantation and contacted a clinic in Stockholm for a Strip operation. The results were a disappointment to say the least.
The transplanted area looked thin, with unnatural-looking tufts of hair that poked out at weird angles. I went through two further operations without improvement. And to make matters worse, the scarring made it look even thinner than it had been before.
Then in 2004, I got in contact with the Ilter Clinic. My first impression was how sympathetic and understanding they were. I immediately got the feeling that they really cared and would do everything they could to help me. Their professional, serious and modern way-of-working was truly lit up by the team’s warmth and empathy towards me.
Dr. Ilter decided to transplant 1000 FUE grafts (2000 hairs). Even though they are still growing in at the time of writing, the results look natural and the density has increased more than I ever dared to hope for.

With a hair transplantation operation scheduled in Stockholm, Sweden on April 20th, he had to find a quick solution for the problem. Not being a person to sit around and wait as airports continued to close all over Europe, he decided to drive to his patient.
