In recent months we have noticed a phony blog claiming the identity of Dr. Ilter. The blog has many false statements and serious allegations about the Ilter Clinic and Dr. Ilter. We strongly condemn this blog that has nothing to do with reality.

The rumors about Ilter Clinic started in August last year with a flaming attack with false and negative statements on Swedish, German and English hair forums. However with this phony blog, the flamer is using SEO techniques to get high score results when searching about Ilter Clinic or Dr. Ilter. He is using Googles own blogging tool (blogspot.com) and the name of Dr. Demir Ilter is used not only in the domain name but also in each post to effectively attack the company.

We know who is hiding behind this site and the flaming attacks on forums. This person has also been slandering other small corporations in Sweden. We have notified the Swedish police about the activities of this person who was previously convicted for financial crimes.

We are strong supporters of the openness of Internet and the freedom of speech; however we believe that this is a new type of identity theft and modern forgery. We have sent four separate defamation reports to Google/blogspot and asked them to remove this false blog. Unfortunately Google is using the reversed burden of proof principle. Basically it means that you are guilty until you can prove otherwise. Google is regulated by US law and blogspot does not remove allegedly defamatory, libelous, or slanderous material from blogspot.com without a court order.
