I am 44 years old and co-founder of the Ilter Clinic together with my husband, Dr. Ilter.I was born and grew up in Iceland, but have lived in Sweden half my life. I have felt drawn to the entrepreneurial way of life since I was young, as my parents are self-employed, and it felt like a natural step for me to start and run my own company, too. We live in Täby in the north of Stockholm and have three children, aged between 10 and 15.
I have received comprehensive theoretical and practical training in the FUT/Strip and FUE hair transplantation methods. Every year since 2003, I have taken part in the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ISHRS) and European Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ESHRS) annual conferences to ensure that my skills and training remain on the cutting edge.
I have even participated in a number of other international conferences and courses for further development and inspiration.
Before cofounding the Ilter Clinic, I trained as a pilot and flying instructor. While I had a job with the best view in the world back then, the view today is not so bad either – the back of our clinic looks out over the archipelago and the sea!
Because I have worked a great deal abroad and find it exciting to work in an international environment, I am extremely pleased that the Ilter Clinic has a large international client base.
I have furthered my studies at the Stockholm School of Economics, where I studied leadership – an important part of my day-to-day work. Interior design is another area of interest, and I try to practice it as much as possible.
In my free time, I like to travel with my family, go to the gym or swim in the fantastic hot springs in Iceland.
One of my many hidden talents is I am never affected by jetlag!
It is exciting and rewarding to work with Dr. Ilter and the practice’s fantastic personnel to develop the Ilter Clinic further. The greatest reward for us is our clients’ thanks.

With a hair transplantation operation scheduled in Stockholm, Sweden on April 20th, he had to find a quick solution for the problem. Not being a person to sit around and wait as airports continued to close all over Europe, he decided to drive to his patient.
